Manuk Hergnyan is the founding managing partner of EV Consulting and the founding chairman of EV Research Center. EV Consulting is a management advisory and corporate finance firm with offices in Yerevan and Moscow. Manuk has experience in consulting and investments management with international (SFG, private equity; Barents Group, policy advisory) and Russian (Global Investment Union, asset management) companies.
He has led numerous projects in strategy development, corporate finance and M&A for local companies. Recently he co-founded the first venture capital firm in Armenia – Granatus Ventures, that invests in early stage startups with core activities in Armenia.
Manuk served in the board of directors of a number of leading Armenian companies including Liqvor Pharmaceuticals, where he is nominated by the EBRD. He is also an active contributor to the public policy discourse and served as a member of Industrial Council and Scientific and Technical Council chaired by the Prime Minister of Armenia. He supports many social initiatives including an innovative schools system (Ayb).
He used to teach the Microeconomics of Competitiveness course developed by Michael Porter (Harvard) at Yerevan State University and Entrepreneurial Finance module at American University of Armenia.
Manuk holds Executive MBA from Oxford University, Ph.D. from Moscow State University and MS in Economics from Yerevan State University.
